Watson Racing Cams was established in Sydney in 1967 by Peter Watson. The very first customers were mainly street machiners & professional drag racers who competed at the Castlereigh Drag strip. The first factory was located in Treacy street, Hurstville, where it operated sucessfully for 5 years until, due to the growth of the business, it was moved to a larger factory on the corner of Boundary road & Durkin place, Peakhurst. During the later years the business expanded its sphere of operations to include the grinding of virtually every type of cam conceiveable (including cams used in the medical arena). Watson cams operated at the Peakhurst factory for 31years until in 2003 the business moved interstate to its present location at Burleigh Heads. |
